[Smoothie Challenge] 5 Favorite Smoothies

IT'S SMOOTHIE WEEK! We are sharing ALL about my favorite nutrient-packed, energizing green smoothies, this week here on the blog, in the Healthy Mama Life Facebook Community and on social media in preparation for our third annual FREE Smoothie Challenge starting on July 1st! Today I wanted to kick off the week sharing five of my absolute FAVORITE, simple super smoothie recipes. Make these this week!

Favorite Super Smoothie #1: The PB&J

Who doesn't like a good PB + J? This is my daughter's go-to, as well! PB + J Super Smoothie

1 cup milk of choice 1 handful spinach 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1-2 tbsp natural peanut butter

Favorite Super Smoothie #2: Chocolate Covered Cherry

This is my go-to all summer long! There is something just so refreshing about sweet cherries in the summer time. I like to get fresh and freeze- but let's be mama real, I usually use pre-frozen! Chocolate-covered Cherry Super Smoothie 1 cup milk of choice 1 large handful spinach 1/2 cup frozen cherries 1 scoop chocolate protein powder 1 tbsp cocoa or raw cacao powder 1 tbsp almond or cashew butter

Favorite Super Smoothie #3: Strawberry Coconut

This one really should be called strawberries n' cream-- but the coconut itself lends a nice flavor, on top of a really nice creaminess. Strawberry Coconut Super Smoothie 1 cup full-fat coconut milk 1 handful spinach 3/4 cup frozen strawberries 1 tbsp chia seeds

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Favorite Super Smoothie #4: Blueberry Muffin This one is my GO-TO! I seem to make this one over and over again. It works well to keep my blood sugar stable for HOURS on end! No more #hangry mama!

Blueberry Muffin Super Smoothie

1/2-1 cup almond milk 1 handful kale or spinach 1/2 cup frozen blueberries 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1-2 tbsp almond butter 2 tbsp ground flax or chia seeds big dash cinnamon

Favorite Super Smoothie #5: Mint Chocolate Chip (nice cream) This one is decadent, with the option of being entirely fruit-free! The frozen cauliflower makes it nice and thick- like ice cream! Mint Chocolate Chip Nice Cream 1/2 cup almond milk 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower 1/2 frozen banana (optional) 1 large handful spinach 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

1 tbsp coconut butter big handful of fresh mint, 1-2 drops food grade peppermint essential oil OR dash peppermint extract honey or stevia to sweeten cacao nibs to top (I like to throw a few in for texture, too!)
