Favorite Things: July

It’s been quite some time since I did a post like this- but I keep finding myself with a pile of things I am loving and would love to share with you, and I don’t quite have the right place to share them. I share things here and there on Instagram stories- but I thought doing a round-up of some of my current favorites in varying categories would be a fun way to share with you some of the things I’ve been loving lately. I think that’s it for now, friends. Let me know over on Instagram if you love blogs like these!

Favorite things: July
Eating: Peach Caprese Salad
This simple + delicious salad has been on repeat in our house, this summer! Make it: 3 ripe peaches, diced 1 ball whole milk mozzarella, cubed 1 head basil, torn Good quality olive oil
A pinch of sea salt Toss all in a bowl- and, if you have it- reduced balsamic to drizzle over top (optional- but not in my opinion!)
Reading: The Brave Learner by Julie Bogart
We are diving into homeschooling next year (officially, though we did homeschool pre-k!), and I love Julie’s practical and child-centered approach to learning, so I have been loving listening to this one!
For beach reads, I loved The Friend Zone + most recently her second book, The Happy Ever After Playlist. Totally not deep and 100% for fun- which is so great in the summer!
Snacking: I’ve been super into these Hu Kitchen Everything crackers lately. SO good with kite hill chive almond cream cheese (YUM). Also, the Hu Kitchen mint chocolate bar-- especially stored in the freezer, OH my. My friend introduced me to this one and I'm not sure if I'm mad or not ;).
Drinking: Iced Oat Milk Matcha Lattes from my favorite cafe in the mornings + Dogfish Head Sea Quench Sour by night.
Listening: Ok, first, I’ve 100% upgraded my listening with a pair of Airpods, which I resisted for SO long and now realize how TOTALLY worth it they are (if anything, for my clients being able to hear me well on calls- but also for podcasts!). I’ve always loved Allie Casazza’s The Purpose Show podcast, but she has been killing it lately- especially with business advice for mamas, so if that’s you- go check her out!
Kids: My kids have been LOVING juice pops by Goodpops. Could we make these ourselves? Totally. Is it SO convenient to have pops in the cupboard to freeze and have in a couple hours? TOTALLY.
Other random favorites…
I just re-stocked my favorite non-toxic face scrub, the Acure Brightening Face Scrub, and it’s just SO refreshing in the shower in the morning! Nantucket Spider Bug Spray. I have found none better for repelling little critters in humid, buggy New England! It does make me miss wandering around Nantucket, though I will need it soon-- I’m going to be taking the next week off from social media to enjoy a little anniversary camping trip with my husband- so I’ll catch you the second week of August ❤️
