Recipe: Spinach Parmesan Turkey Burgers (with basil aioli)
Anyone else in love with a good burger? Burgers are a staple in our house. They're easy to meal prep, the ingredients are generally pretty inexpensive and they're TASTY! We like mixing it up from our typical Butcherbox burgers and making our own, and these Spinach Parmesan Turkey Burgers are a family favorite.
No, I'm not suggesting you replace beef with turkey (unless that's your preference). This is just a fun way to mix it up, and try something new with your family meal plan. And who doesn't like a burger with cheese mixed in? My daughter came up to me when I was editing the photos for this post and she went "Ooooh! Ooh! Burgers with CHEEEESE! Can we make those again?!" Convincing enough to try them? Here's the recipe.
Spinach Parmesan Turkey Burgers
1 lb ground turkey
1 egg (or egg replacement)
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup baby spinach, chopped 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil 1/2 tsp sea salt cracked black pepper, to taste avocado or coconut oil to grease pan
1. Heat oil in a grill pan, or preheat oven to 375.
2. Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Mix well and use hands to form 4-6 patties.
3. Cook on grill pan, 8-10 minutes per side, or place on greased pan and bake in oven for 10-20 minutes. Flip and bake another 5-10. Serve hot with basil aioli (recipe below).
2 tbsp fresh basil, chiffonade
1 clove garlic, minced
pinch sea salt
1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk well.
