A message to you, Super Mama.
I see you, mama, Hauling those bags of groceries up the stairs with the baby carseat in one hand, calling to your lagging preschooler skipping behind, without a care in the world as you fumble for your keys and glance over at the Amazon Prime box only to shrug and resolve to grab it next time you have a hand (whenever that will be). That was me, too, yesterday.
I hear you when you tell me you want your family to eat healthier, you do- but with school, sports, playdates, and screaming toddlers- and if you have a job yourself outside of the full time gig it takes to keep human beings alive (whether or not you’re with them 24/7) you just simply feel like you don’t have the time. I get it mama, there just aren't enough hours in the day.
I know I can tell you over and over that the number on the scale doesn’t matter (it doesn’t, mama) but it doesn’t make you any less uncomfortable in your body. Even more than you want that pre-baby body back you just want to feel good.
You want to feel energized, instead of exhausted. You want to feel strong and in control of your health and your family’s. You know there is an epidemic of over-fed and undernourished people in this country and you don’t want to be another statistic, but you simply don’t. know. how.
And you’ve tried the diets. The shakes. The expensive meal delivery systems. The points. And most of them worked, for a time. But eventually, they stop working. You stop being able to afford it. You crave being able to simply eat, right alongside your family without feeling like you’re ‘cheating’ and isn’t there something a bit off about telling your kids mommy doesn’t eat the same things they do, has to count her dinner or always say no to the trip to the ice cream shop?
You try to feed your kids well. Veggies, fruit, whole grains, lots of protein and healthy fats. Making meals is hard when you want them to be balanced but you’re not quite sure what that means, but you do your best.
I see you mama, And I want to tell you that you are a superhero.
What you do every day for your family? Whether you are a stay at home mom, a working mom, a part-time worker, a step-mom, or you only have your kids on the weekends- what you do is hard work. Mamas know how to juggle in ways other humans could not fathom until they become a mother themselves.
That way that you care for your family? It’s a love that is beyond understanding. I know you do your best. I know you want them to be healthy, and you want to be healthy too.
Because your health is important not just for you, but for your family. When your well is dry there is nothing to pull up and pour into your family.
Being exhausted, run down and depressed is common as a mom. But that doesn’t mean it’s normal.
Healthy living is a journey. There is no quick fix, shake or point system that will change your life. But changing your habits, one by one, day by day, will.
Learning how to eat for YOUR body, not the ‘average’ will give you energy, focus and clarity. You might even shed a few pounds. But even if you don’t, you’ll feel better, stronger, more alert and like that supermama I KNOW you are.
You are a super mama, and you deserve to feel like one, too.
So what will it take to create that feeling? To truly embody health, age gracefully and eat with your family without guilt?
Simple changes, every day, that’s what. Big overhauls lead to big downhill spirals when everything comes crashing down, because even superheroes have their limits.

We all start together on April 2nd, 2018. (No mama goes it alone!)
We will be spending five weeks (yes, five weeks) together unpacking my five pillars to supermama nutrition.
We are doing this ONE step at a time. No jumping around. No skipping ahead.

I don't expect perfection. This is REAL LIFE, mama. I want you to make changes that will last. That's why we're taking it step-by-step, with small changes to turn you into the healthy, energized supermama you've always wanted to be.
No gimmicks. No eat-this-don't-eat-that meal plans. No expensive supplements.
This is simplified-science-meets-real-mom-life. This is do-able, no matter where you are in your healthy living journey. EVERYONE can benefit from a super powered life.
1. We are focusing on one area of nutrition, one pillar, each week. There will be one email, linking you to the course module (don't worry, it's short), with printables to use to guide your supermama journey.
2. I will be jumping into the Healthy Mama Kris Facebook page weekly and doing one LIVE training on each pillar each week. Short and sweet, 30 minutes or less. Hop on live to ask questions or re-watch later. The key here is to drill those simple principles home.
3. We will be sharing in our journey with other mamas in the Healthy Mama Life Facebook group. Be there or be square! We have an awesome community of health-minded mamas getting super-powered right along with you.
All I want is you to start where you are at, and implement what works, adding on as we go. That's it. But I want you to commit to doing it. You've made it this far. I know you're ready. Now you need to decide you are.
