my food philosophy
I believe in food.
I believe in REAL food.
Food from the farm, the earth and the sea.
Food that fuels. Food that nourishes- body and soul.
Butter. Yes, REAL butter.
I believe in ALL food.
All foods fit in a healthy, balanced life.
That includes grandma's famous cookies and ones you buy from the store.
That might include kale (it might not). It might include donuts (it might not).
I believe in eating with intention, mindfulness and intuition.
Cultivating mindfulness is a skill- it won't happen overnight. But it's a crucial one.
Learning to tune in is the most important nutrition tool we have (and it's ingrained).
I believe there is no wrong way to eat.
We are all made uniquely beautiful by our Creator. No one being alike- no one set of needs alike. I can shout the benefits of kale from the rooftops, but if it doesn't work for you- it doesn't work for you.
I believe we need to ditch the diet dogma that is pervasive in our society and learn to listen to our own bodies and their innate wisdom to tell us what to eat, and what not to eat.
I believe in finding YOUR beautiful balance of nourishment, intuition and pleasure around eating.
